How I Shortlisted the Construction Company for My Dream Home

Being born and brought up in the same state and having lived in Bangalore for over a decade since my engineering days, it felt natural to rely on local insights when planning to build my home. Even during my diploma days in Tumkur, I often traveled for tech meetups, so networking and gathering references from neighbors and acquaintances came easily.

Labour Contract vs End-to-End Construction
The first big decision was whether to go for a labour contract or an end-to-end (E2E) contract. In Bangalore, labour contracts usually range between ₹28,000 to ₹35,000 per chadra. On the other hand, E2E contracts come with many variables — pricing varies based on materials, finishes, supervision, and support.
Initially, I leaned toward a material contract, thinking it would give me better control over material selection and cost savings. However, after speaking to neighbors who had opted for the same, I realized the hidden stress and effort involved — from managing vendors to ensuring timely deliveries.

Shifting Gears: Why I Chose an E2E Contract
Hearing real-life experiences from my neighborhood made me reconsider. Most of them regretted not going with a turnkey solution. I then decided to opt for an end-to-end contract, prioritizing peace of mind, accountability, and quality control

YouTube Recommendations & Surprise Encounters

By this point, my YouTube feed was filled with Kannada YouTube influencers like Kannada Kuvara, Kalamadhyama, and others. One day, I unexpectedly met Manoj from Kannada Kuvara at Yelahanka railway station.

That casual conversation helped me a lot — he recommended  Kites design and construction and RCC companies and emphasized the importance of quality and project supervision.

Meeting Vendors and Comparing Quotes

Over the following weekends, I visited 5-8 contract vendors across Bangalore, interacting with their  teams and understanding their processes. Most companies offered similar pricing and features, except Cherish Happy Home, which was a bit on the higher side (₹150–₹250/sqft more than others).

Final Decision
After thorough research and multiple visits, I finally decided to go ahead with a India's tech-enabled construction company that stood out in terms of:

1.Transparent pricing
2.Digital project tracking
3.Quality control
4.Prompt customer support
5.Experience staffs

Their approach (Sunil Kumar Ray - Technical Consultant) gave me confidence that I could rely on them throughout the construction journey
