Deshuttering of Footing & Pedestal Completed (June 4th) | Curing in Progress
As of June 4th, the deshuttering of the footing and pedestal was completed successfully. Initially, the curing phase was being tracked only for the sump tank. However, with progress on the structural front, curing tasks have now been expanded to include footings and pedestals as well.
Before deshuttering:
After deshuttering :
B&B has enhanced oversight by assigning daily curing responsibilities to the contractor via the app. These are now mandatory across multiple components of the site.
The contractor is required to:
✅ Conduct curing three times daily (morning, afternoon, evening)
✅ Upload videos for each curing session
✅ Ensure geo-tagging is active, restricted to the construction site radius
This ensures concrete gains optimal strength and reduces the risk of shrinkage cracks.
🧱 Curing Guidelines (Now for Multiple Structures)
- Use clean water consistently.
- Keep concrete surfaces moist for at least 7 days.
- Avoid water stagnation near footings and sump tank.
- Use wet hessian cloth where needed to maintain surface moisture ( For current weather conditions in Bangalore not required).
- Keep a log of curing activities with timestamped videos.
🔜 Upcoming Task: Soil Backfilling
With curing underway, the next milestone is to begin backfilling the soil around the completed footings. This will provide necessary support and enable further structural work like the plinth beam layout.
