Building Higher: Second Floor with Lintel Work and Third-Floor Staircase, Concrete Pour Planned Next

The construction journey is moving forward as planned. All scheduled tasks up to column concreting have been completed, marking steady progress in line with the checklist.
In addition to the main structural work, sump cleaning is in progress, and curing is happening effectively—often supported by the frequent rains this season. Despite the weather, we are ensuring everything remains on track. With columns now in place, the second-floor stage has advanced smoothly, and activities such as blockwork base course and blockwork up to lintel have been completed as planned

Step by step, the structure is taking shape with consistent progress.
For the upcoming week, planning is focused on window grill design and wood selection, ensuring material readiness and design alignments.

Choosing the Right Sump Tank Size for My Home – A Thoughtful Decision

As we begin building our dream home in BSK 6th Stage, 4th Block, one of the earliest and most important choices we made was about the sump tank size. It might seem like a small decision in the grand scheme of things, but water is such a basic necessity—it deserves thoughtful planning We are a family of 4 to 5 people, and I wanted to make sure we had enough water storage to last comfortably for at least 12–15 days, even during dry spells or BWSSB delays. After some thinking and observing how things work in Bangalore, I decided on a 8,000-litre sump. This is a practical size—tankers like Tata 709 and tractors that commonly deliver water in this area usually carry around 6,000–7,000 litres, so this capacity fits well.
