🏗️ Foundation Update: Plinth Completed & Next Phase Begins (June 9 -19)

It’s been a while since the last blog post (June 9) — things have been fast forward on-site, has been steady and satisfying. Here's a comprehensive update on what’s been happening since then.
✅ Plinth Work Completed
June 15: Bar bending and shuttering work for the plinth was completed.
June 16: Concrete was poured for the plinth.
June 17–18: Starters for the columns were set up, and anti-termite treatment was applied directly to the soil backfill in ratio of 1:2

Over 8,000 liters of water have been used for proper curing and settling — a crucial step to ensure strength and longevity.
🚧 Underground Work Completed
On June 19, the team completed:
- Drainage mainline setup Supreme PVC Pipes
- Chamber construction with required slope.
- Kaveri Connection  - Ashirvad CPVC Pipe.
This was done under the supervision of expert site engineers and skilled workers of HomeSquadz

🌦️ Bangalore Weather: Unpredictable, But Kind
Despite the “hourly seasons” we’ve been experiencing in Bangalore, the site conditions have remained workable. Thanks to nature—and a bit of divine grace—we've stayed on schedule.

🐜 Pro Tip: Anti-Termite Treatment – Do It Smartly
Brick & Bolt does not include anti-termite treatment in their  package. They offer it as an add-on, which typically costs around ₹15,000–₹20,000.Instead of opting for this, I chose to handle it myself—and here’s how:
I used Pidilite Terminator Structure Preservative, which is effective against termites, borers, and fungus in soil and buildings.
It’s a safe, herbal-based formulation and works well for foundation-level treatment.
I purchased a 5-litre can, which is more than enough for my site size
💡 Pro Tip:
The 5-litre can costs about ₹310 per litre when bought locally in bulk (~₹1,550 total). However, if you buy smaller 1-litre packs (like on Amazon), the price can go up significantly—sometimes ₹350–₹380 per litre product:
Final Thoughts:
If you're comfortable doing a bit of research and have on-site support, this is an easy and cost-effective task to manage yourself. Application is simple, and the product is widely available at local hardware stores.
Save where you can, spend where you must.

Thanks for following along! More updates soon as we start with column work
